R U OK? Day

This week, centres across the Lifelong Learning Centre community are asking one very important question - “are you okay?”

While children can’t be expected to fix a friend’s problem, they can be encouraged to listen, show they care and tell a trusted adult.

R U OK? Day is a national mental health campaign inspiring and empowering everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and start a conversation. Nobody is too young to look out for a friend and lend support. R U OK? have provided some great conversation starters and resources to help educate our littlest listeners to be good friends!

We promote positive friendships and open communication across our community of Lifelong Learning Centres. Our littlest learners are encouraged to express their feelings and look out for their friends!

Day for Daniel

Across Australia, we are recognising Day for Daniel as part of National Safe Work Month. Day for Daniel is Australia's largest day of action to help raise awareness of child safety, a cause that’s close to the hearts of all our Centre Managers and educators.

"How was your day"?

Pick up time at the end of the day is such an exciting time – typically little faces light up when their parent or caregiver arrives. But how can families encourage meaningful conversations with their child?
